Terms of Service
Version 2026-05
These Terms of Service govern the use of the Dr. Doutor platform — a healthcare marketplace in Mozambique connecting patients with healthcare professionals for in-person and online appointments.
1. The service
Dr. Doutor provides specialist search, appointment booking, appointment-related messaging and, where applicable, payment. Dr. Doutor does not provide healthcare: the clinical relationship is exclusively between the patient and the healthcare professional.
2. Accounts
Registration requires accurate, up-to-date information. Accounts are personal and non-transferable; the holder is responsible for keeping credentials confidential. Healthcare professional accounts undergo document verification (KYC) before becoming visible on the platform.
3. Bookings, cancellations and no-shows
A booking is confirmed under the conditions shown at reservation time. Cancellations and rescheduling follow the rules and deadlines shown on the platform; late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee where indicated before confirmation.
4. Payments
Where enabled, payments are processed by external providers (e.g. M-Pesa). Prices shown are set by the professionals. Promotional free consultations, where available, are limited to the quota shown on your account.
5. Conduct
Using the platform for unlawful purposes, posting false or defamatory content (including reviews), or attempting to access third-party data is prohibited and may lead to account suspension or termination.
6. Personal data
The processing of personal data, including health data, is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.
7. Liability
Dr. Doutor is not responsible for the content of clinical acts or the medical decisions of professionals. The platform is provided “as is”; we make reasonable efforts to keep it available and secure.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are announced on the platform and the current version is always identified on this page. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Mozambican law. Disputes are submitted to the competent courts of Maputo unless mandatory rules provide otherwise.
